Aircraft cabin in Groningen Airport terminal creates a unique learning environment
Today, Groningen Airport Eelde opened an aircraft mock-up, a section of an aircraft cabin where Noorderpoort Aviation Services students can now train in a realistic aviation environment.

For our students, it is essential to take their exams in a realistic setting. A real aircraft door works completely differently from a standard door. Thanks to this mock-up, we can assess and train students in a way that is much closer to real-life practice.
The mock-up is a valuable addition to the Airport Campus at Groningen Airport Eelde, where students are immersed in the world of aviation and hospitality on a daily basis. The first exams have already taken place in the airport terminal, where the mock-up is located.
Education becomes more effective when students can learn in an environment that genuinely feels like their future workplace. At the same time, the mock-up also adds an extra dimension to the airport experience for our passengers. We are therefore very pleased with our collaboration with Noorderpoort.
The mock-up is also interesting for other visitors, including passengers, people seeing off friends and family, and day visitors. It is freely accessible to the public.
