Observation terrace
Experience the atmosphere of Groningen Airport Eelde up close. From the observation terrace, you can look out across the airport, watch travellers depart and wave them goodbye before their aircraft takes off.
Access to the terrace is linked to the opening hours of the Airport Bistro: on weekdays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and around all passenger flights.
Opening hours
The observation terrace is open during the opening hours of the Airport Bistro, unless a private event is taking place at De Plek. The Bistro is open every weekday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm and around all passenger flights.
You can access the observation terrace through the terminal. Follow the yellow signs marked Terras | Terrace.
The observation terrace
The observation terrace is the perfect place for anyone who wants to experience the airport. Whether you are seeing someone off, watching aircraft together or simply enjoy following the activity at the airport, the terrace brings you close to the moment of departure.
Food and drinks are not sold on the terrace itself. You can, however, pick up a coffee, an ice cream or something else to enjoy from the Airport Bistro and take it with you to the terrace.
