Groningen Airport Eelde (GAE) is preparing to extend one of its runways from 1,800 to 2,500 metres. A longer runway will help the development of the northern economy. It will generate new jobs and it will be of great help in opening up the region. A longer runway will enable flights to new destinations at greater distances.
